Abstract
The spin alignment of the12C2 + state in inelastic scattering of12c on64zn at EL=65 MeV has been measured using the γ-recoil-in-flight method. Good agreement with coupled channel calculations are obtained. The sensitivity of the spin alignment to reaction models is discussed.

In these rotations it is important to be consistent with the definition of the reaction angle as defined in the program and not with experiment. A previous analysis, which showed discrepancies with experiment, was incorrect due to neglect of this circumstance.
