Abstract
The elastic scattering of vector and tensor polarized deuterons near 20 MeV has been analyzed in terms of the phenomenological optical potential including a complex tensor term ofT R -type. In comparison with folding potentials we find a strong reduction of the real part of theT R -potential with increasing mass number, the contribution of coupling to vibrational excitations is discussed.
