Electromagnetic moments of the 7+ rotational bandhead in116Sb

Abstract

The magnetic and electric quadrupole moments of the 7+ isomeric state in116Sb withT 1/2=11.9(6) ns have been measured by TDPAD method. The state was populated in the113In(α, n) reaction atE α = 22 MeV. The obtained results are:μ=+4.69(10) n.m. and ¦Q¦=167(39) fm2. Based on these electromagnetic moments, for the 7+ isometric state, head of aΔI=1 rotational band, the intruder configuration [π(1g 2/−19 )⊗v(2d 2/−15 )] has been established and a deformation parameter ofβ=0.19 has been determined.
