Summary
The EAE of the guinea pig was treated by injections of ALG from the rabbit. The first ALG-injection was administered on the day after the sensitizing injection of homologous brain extract. The ALG treatment was continued over three weeks in two day intervals.
In the ALG injected animals severe EAE was not observed, in 33% a moderate EAE could be histologically demonstrated. In the ALG treated animals the capacity of lymphocytes to transform to blast cells by specific or unspecific stimulation was decreased in comparison to the controls treated with normal rabbit serum.
