Das „Collagen-like protein“ (CLP) und Kollagenantikörper im Serum bei chronischer Polyarthritis und nichtrheumatischen Bindegewebserkrankungen

Zusammenfassung

Bei 52 Patienten mit chronischer Polyarthritis und 23 Patienten mit malignen Tumoren wurden das CLP und die Kollagenantikörper im Antiglobulinkonsumptionstest unter Verwendung von neutralsalzlöslichem Kollagen bestimmt. Je nachdem, ob CLP-Spiegel oder Antiglobulinkonsumptions-Titer normal oder erhöht gefunden wurden, wurden Polyarthritiker und Tumorpatienten auf 8 Gruppen verteilt. Es fand sich eine auffällige, statistisch signifikante Häufung erhöhter CLP-Spiegel und gleichzeitig erhöhter Titer im Antiglobulinkonsumptionstest bei aktiven chronischen Polyarthritiden. Es wird diskutiert, unter welchen Bedingungen lösliche Kollagenpeptide bzw. CLP das Antigen für die im Antiglobulinkonsumptionstest nachgewiesenen Kollagenantikörper bei der chronischen Polyarthritis sein könnten.

Summary

In the case of 52 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (R.A.) and 23 patients with malignant tumors the „collagen-like protein“ (CLP) in serum was determined by the methode of Le Roy, Kaplan, Udenfriend and Sjoerdsma as also the collagen antibodies in serum by the antiglobulinconsumption test in accordance with Steffen, using neutral salt soluble collagen as antigen.

Four groups of patients were found: Patients who had a normal CLP level in serum:

• 1. with R.A.,

• 2. with malignant tumors, and on the other hand patients, with increasel CLP level in serum and

• 3. with R.A.,

• 4. with malignant tumors.

When the serum concentration of collagen antibodies was determined in all these groups, a significant elevation was only proven in the third group. In all cases of this group R.A. was shown to have activity of a high degree. This result ist discussed with regard to our present knowledge of pathogenesis of R.A.
