Zusammenfassung

Wir berichten über den Fall einer jungen Patientin mit Plasmazell-Osteomyelitis an der Brustwirbelsäule als ungewöhnliche Lokalisation dieser chronischen Osteomyelitis-Form. Dabei wird die Rolle der bildgebenden Diagnostik, insbesondere der Magnetresonanztomografie diskutiert.

Abstract

The authors report the case of a young patient suffering from plasmacellular osteomyelitis of the thoracic spine, a unusual localisation of this type of chronic osteomyelitis. They discuss the role of imaging diagnostic modalities in this disease, focussing on MRI.
