Summary
In two cases of chronic osteomyelitis following craniotomy, removal of the bone flaps and debridement were performed. The defects in the calvarial bone and the scalp were immediately reconstructed in a one-stage operation using an osteomyocutaneous free flap consisting of the serratus anterior muscle and rib.
