Familial neurogenic acroosteolysis, amputation or skin grafting

Summary

A patient with familial neurogenic acroosteolytic defect of the foot was treated with a full thickness skin graft in order to prevent amputation of the lower leg. This graft proved to be of good weight bearing capacity. The clinical and morphological features and implications of the disease are discussed.
