Observation on “embryonic” haemoglobin of Bufo vulgaris

Summary

The results above described and previous data [1] suggest that the embryonic haemoglobin of Bufo vulgaris seems to be different from any known haemoglobin. The investigation of embryonic haemoglobin would give a clue to the presumption of primitive haemoglobin in ancient organisms, if ontogeny is a recapitulation of phylogeny.
