Intrauterine purulent leptomeningitis

Summary

This may be the first report of intrauterine purulent leptomeningitis, the infection of which has been caused by amnio-chorionitis via the umbilical route. The fetus was stillborn at the 35th week of gestation. Neuropathologic features did not differ from those of neonatal meningitis.
