Summary

An apparatus is demonstrated which enables a kidney to be transported over a period of up to 24 h, at a temperature of 3° C, using a pulsating perfusion with an oxygenating perfusate. It consists of three basic elements: The organ-containing unit, the power unit and the insulating unit.
