Leucocytokinetic studies during viral hepatitis

Abstract

The neutrocyte mobilization test was performed in 10 children to investigate the bone marrow function during viral hepatitis. In the initial stage pathologic test results were obtained in 6 out of 10 patients. As the hepatitis improved the test responses normalized, or initially adequate responses increased. These findings are discussed as a manifestation of reversible bone marrow suppression during viral hepatitis.
