Zonulae occludentes in the goat ruminal epithelium

Summary

The deep horn cells of the goat ruminal epithelium, which border the stratum granulosum, form an important component of the epithelial barrier. This barrier of the intercellular labyrinth presents zonulae occludentes (tight junctions).

Zusammenfassung

Das Pansenepithel besitzt in den tiefen Hornzellen, die an das Stratum granulosum grenzen, eine Barriere. Diese Barriere, die das Labyrinth der Interzellularräume gegen das Pansenlumen verschließt, ist mit Zonulae occludentes ausgestattet.
