Summary
Experiments were performed at isolated cat hearts. The results showed that the onset of the mechanical systole did not occur synchronous in both ventricles. The onset of the mechanical systole of the left ventricle began always earlier.
An increased pressure load of the left ventricle implied an earlier onset of the mechanical systole of both ventricles. Therefore the asynchronism of the onset of mechanical systole of both ventricles were not influenced.
An increased pressure load of the right ventricle implied only an earlier onset of it's mechanical systole. Under these conditions there were to find a shortening of the asynchronism of the onset of mechanical systole of both ventricles.
At normal conduction of excitation the onset of mechanical systole of the heart ventricle will be influenced by hemodynamic conditions, that modify the dynamics of contraction.
