Summary
The clinical and histological findings of our six cases of CEOT support the previously reported deta for this tumor. Regarding the ossification in this lesion it might be suggested that the degenerative calcified material induces dentinoid tissue formation.
Radiographically, two kinds of characteristic patterns might be described. One was a well demarcated unilocular radiolucent lesion including various amounts of calcified bodies in it. Another was the multilocular or motteled appearance lesion associated with dense calcified masses and numerous irregular bony trabeculations.
Every case of this tumor was associated with a fully formed embedded tooth.
