Vorliegende Arbeit ist der erste Teil von neuen Studien zur Methodik und den Ergebnissen der Elektrometrie in der Biologie. Bei Zusammenstellung dieses Heftes liegt die Versuchsanordnung und eine große Reihe noch nicht völlig abgeschlossener, systematisch variierter Versuche vor. Diese systematischen Vorversuche zeigen, daß unsere Methode auch in dieser relativ einfachen Versuchsanordnung sehr gut brauchbar ist. Da bereits die Beschreibung des Instruments, der Elektrodenherstellung und Versuchsanordnung ein genügend umfangreiches, sachlich geschlossenes Material bietet, haben wir uns entschlossen, zunächst den methodischen Teil zu publizieren und unsere bisherigen Beobachtungen einer weiteren Mitteilung vorzubehalten.
