Summary

A computer-controlled automatic gas chromatograph is described. It uses a fluidic logic gate as a sampling device. The sample is introduced as a narrow band, a few milli-seconds wide. Short open tubular columns (L<1 m), with narrow internal diameter (dc<100 μm) can be used to achieve difficult separations (N>104) in a few seconds. This equipment can be used for physico-chemical measurements as well as in process control.

On décrit un appareil de chromatographie en phase gazeuse commandé par un ordinateur et muni d'un dispositif d'injection utilisant un circuit logique fluidique. L'échantillon est introduit sous forme d'une bande ayant quelques millisecondes de largeur. On peut donc utiliser des colonnes capillaires courtes (L<1 m) et de faible diamètre (dc<100 μm) et obtenir des séparations difficiles (N>104) en quelques secondes. Cet appareil peut servir à des mesures physico-chimiques et en contrôle industriel.
