Summary
The thin-layer chromatographic behaviour of 51 inorganic ions has been studied on a strongly acidic cation exchanger, sulfoethyl cellulose, using acetic acid and acetic acid-ammonium acetate media. Feasibilities for effective separations of analytical interest are demonstrated on the cellulose layer (0.50mm thick) in both media.
