Expression, purification, crystallization and preliminary X-ray data of Escherichia coli galactoside acetyltransferase

Crystals of galactoside acetyltransferase from Escherichia coli have been prepared from solutions of ammonium sulfate containing acetyl-CoA. These crystals diffract to at least 2.7 Å resolution, belong to space group C222₁ and contain one copy of the trimeric enzyme in the asymmetric unit.
