2019, Applied Radiation and IsotopesCitation Excerpt :The three most recent values were 73.5 (11) min (Houdayer, 1974), 75 (3) min (Baskova, 1973), and 74.7 (7) min (Borchert, 1971), respectively. However, another value of 71.1 (5) min reported by Butement (1960) was more precise, but not included in the evaluators’ averaging procedure, owing to the obvious difference by comparison with the values clustered around 74 min. The large discrepancy (∼4%) between the evaluated value 74.4 (6) and the precise value 71.1 (5) min aroused our interest in investigating the 77Kr half-life.
