Abstract

Cumulative yields of ruthenium and rhodium isotopes in the mass-chains A = 105, 107 and 108, for the spontaneous fission of 252Cf have been determined using radiochemical techniques and γ-ray spectroscopy. Chain yields for these masses are found as, 5·2 ± 0·4, 6·3 ± 0·7 and 6·0 ± 0·9 respectively. The results indicate that the light peak in mass-yield distribution may be narrower than previously reported.
