Abstract

In the proton-energy range Ep = 500–2900 ke V fifty-three resonances were observed in the 39K(p, γ)40Ca reaction. The resonance energies and strengths were determined. The decay modes of most of the resonances and of fifteen lower excited states in 40Ca were determined from single and coincidence gamma-ray spectra.
