Abstract

Using the method of thermal cycling of oriented nuclei (TCON) applied to highly dilute, recoil-implanted samples, we have determined the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation (SLR) constants of Nb and Tc in Fe host in the 10 mK range. The results are comparable with earlier experiments using resonant methods, and confirm the discrepancies with theory.
