Influence of ion irradiation on the surface electronic structure of epitaxial lanthanum nickelate films
2023, Surfaces and InterfacesTheory of resonant spectroscopies in nickel, cerium compounds and other systems
2001, Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related PhenomenaCitation Excerpt :2) The interference between the 3d8→3d9 and 3d8→3p53d10→3d9 produces the Fano-type line shape for the main peak intensity, since it contains the 3d9 component. As in the case of resonant PES at the 3p core threshold [3,47,48], the resonance is not so strong also in the present IPES compared with the 2p core threshold. In the present Fano-type line shape, the dip in the lower-energy region is more remarkable compared with the resonance peak in the higher-energy region.
