Abstract

The pulse-height distribution of the random sum photo peak is studied with a scintillation spectrometer. It is shown that the shape of this peak is strongly dependent on that of the analyzed pulses and on the opening time, τ, of the input circuit of the analyzer. The experimental pulse-height distribution is compared with the calculated one.
