Abstract

The use of separated targets in the absolute strength measurements of proton induced capture reactions is developed. The backscattering of 4He-particles is employed in the quantitative determination of target nuclei, and the absolute resonance strength measurements of 20,21,22Ne(p,γ)21,22,23Na and54,56,57,58Fe(p,γ)55,57,58,59Co reactions are used to illust method. Absolute strength measurements on iron isotopes 57 and 58 are performed for the first time.
