Abstract

A program LIFT, which represents a spectrum as a sum of experimentally measured pure elemental spectra in a Fourier space, is developed. Before making a non-linear least squares fitting, disinformative parts of the spectrum, background and statistical fluctuation are rejected by multiplying the frequency spectrum with a filtering window. The method takes care of experimental set-up, i.e. energy calibration and absorption in the system are correctly included.
