Abstract

Some problems in usually applied pulse pileup rejection techniques are reviewed. A pileup inspection unit avoiding some of the known deficiencies has been designed. The technology applied is strictly digital (MECL 10 000). The functional principles of the unit and its performance in a 100 000 cps experiment are presented.
