Damkjaer (1982) obtained the energy spectra of the monoenergetic electrons (100–600 keV) using a surface barrier solid-state detector with a depletion layer of 1 mm and a surface area of 100 mm2. Furthermore, Von Dincklage and Gerl (1985) used Si(Li) solid-state detectors to obtain the energy spectra for monoenergetic electrons. In-situ object thickness monitoring is often rather important.
