Analysis of statistical operation of a multistop time to digital converter

Abstract

This article describes a multistop TDC with a precision of 0.5 ns and a dead time of less than 30 ns. The broadening of the measured distributions is analyzed and calculated for the real device, which has a discrepancy in the channel width and works randomly with a sliding scale effect.
