Abstract

From backward-angle correlation measurements, an emission temperature of the target-like fragment is extracted by means of the relative population of excited states of emitted light clusters. Values of the temperature of T=2.2−0.2+0.3 MeV and T=2.9±0.7 MeV are obtained respectively for the 4He and 6Li cases. Our finding is consistent with the emission of a thermalized system after excitation energy relaxation.
