The low energy spectra of heavy transitional even nuclei from an effective nucleon-nucleon interaction

Abstract

The seven scalar functions of β and γ defining a Bohr quadrupole collective hamiltonian have been calculated microscopically from an effective nucleon-nucleon interaction in a tractable numerical approach corresponding to clean cut approximations of the adiabatic time dependent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory. Without any free parameter adjustment and using the SIII Skyrme force fitted once for all mostly on saturation properties, one gets a quantitatively good reproduction of the low lying collective spectra of four transitional nuclei: 74Ge, 76Se, 110Cd and 186Pt.
