Spin correlation parameter Axxand Ayy measurements in p-p scattering at 37.2 MeV

Abstract

The measurements of Aχχand Ayy, the spin correlation coefficients in proton-proton scattering made at Saclay in the lab energy range of 11 to 26 MeV have been extended to 37 MeV with the same experimental techniques. Comparison of the results with the predictions of the energy dependent phase shift analysis of Livermore shows a very good agreement for Ayy but a significant deviation (≈2.4 standard deviations) for Aχχ.
