Abstract

The decay scheme of 138mPr has been studied using Ge(Li) detectors. Both single and coincidence γ-ray spectra were measured. A decay scheme is proposed incorporating most of the measured γ-rays. The log ft values of β-transitions suggest spin and parity 8 for 138mPr. The lifetime of the 2217.8 keV 5 state has been found to be less than 0.3 ns.
