Abstract

In order to obtain additional information about the 60Co nucleus we studied the reactions 62Ni(d,α) and 58Fe(3He,p) both leading to the same finalnucleus 60Co. The bombardingenergies were 15 MeV and 12 MeV respectively. We measured excitation energies up to about 4 MeV, and we analyzed angular distributions for both reactions by means of DWBA calculations. A large number of angular momenta could be extracted. In some cases we could obtain information concerning the configurations.
