Abstract

The angular distributions and cross sections of the 232Th(d, t)231Th reaction at a laboratory bombarding energy of 17 MeV have been measured and are compared to the results of DWBA and CCBA calculations. The influence of different form factors calculated in spherical and deformed Saxon-Woods potentials is studied and found to be important. The choice of the deuteron optical potential is discussed.
