Abstract

Complete angular distributions of the differential cross section and all four deuteron-analyzing powers for 3He(d, d)3He scattering have been measured at 14 energies between 1.5 and 11.5 MeV. For all components the major changes in the observables occur below 7 MeV deuteron energy.

For all higher energies, the extension was made by normalizing the coulomb angular dependence at the lowest measured angle of the data at each energy. We have found six references of which five [9–13] were used in the data base of 21 different projectile energies in the range Ed = 0.325 to 11.5 MeV as summarized in Table 1. The covered angular ranges varied with energy and was typically limited to θCM ≈ 40–130° for Ed ⩽ 1.5 MeV but increased with energy to cover the range θCM ≈ 10–170° at Ed = 11.5 MeV.
