Alpha transfer to 4p-4h states in 40Ca

Abstract

Results of the 36Ar(6Li, d)40Ca reaction indicate that the band based on the 3.35 MeV 0+ state is dominantly 4p-4h in character. The 6+ member of this band is suggested to lie at 6.93 MeV.
