Abstract

The tensor analyzing powers T20, T21 and T22 have been measured at 13 MeV bombarding energy for three transitions in 64Zn(d, t)63Zn and for the g.s. transition in 64Zn(d, 3He)63Cu. The measurements are compared to DWBA calculations which include the D-state component in the internal wave function of the outgoing tritons and 3He, using the local-energy approximation. The parameter D2, which provides a measure of the D-state amplitude, is found to be larger for 3He than for the triton by a factor 1.27±0.13.
