Abstract

Taking into account admixtures of pure collective configurations formed by coupling the one-quadrupole with one-octupole states and also of two quasiproton (2QP) excitations in the generalized neutron particle-hole scheme (GNPH), a detailed description of the negative parity levels in the energy region 3 MeV ⪅ EX ⪅ 4 MeV can be given. Application is made to the case of 142Nd. Total cross sections as well as angular distributions of inelastically scattered protons through the 72(1) and 32(1) isobaric analogue resonances (IAR) are calculated and discussed.
