Abstract

The elastic scattering of 80–200 MeV electrons on 27Al is studied. Measurements at 180° show that the experimental magnetic cross section is smaller than the theoretical predictions. The analysis of the electric scattering gives a value a = 2.98 fm for the root mean square radius and a value Q = 14.6 fm2 for the nuclear quadrupole moment.
