Abstract

Some aspects of the current status and perspectives of the study of the nuclear structure in the yrast spectroscopy are summarized. Choosing the two topics, M1 transitions and triaxial shape, in connection with available experimental data, we discuss the structure of the major modifications in the particle motion produced by the Coriolis and centrifugal forces.
