Abstract

The nucleus 63Zn has been studied by the (p, d), (p, nγ), (α, nγ) and (12C, 2pnγ) reactions. Gamma-gamma coincidence measurements have allowed a level scheme to be established up to ≈ 5 MeV. Angular distributions of γ-rays and of deuterons were used to assign spins and parities. Qualitative agreement with simple shell-model calculations of level positions and neutron pick-up spectroscopic factors was found.
