Abstract

The proton-gamma angular correlation functions of the 9Be(d, p1γ)10Be reaction have been measured at a lab bombarding energy of 1.5 MeV for different proton angles between 40° and 150°. The experimental results are consistent with considerable contributions from the compound nucleus reaction mechanism. Population numbers for the different magnetic substates are deduced from the experimental results.
