Abstract

We present explicit, approximate, remarkably precise results for Kazama-Yang hamiltonian, which describes a Dirac monopole interacting with a spin-12 fermion that has an extra magnetic moment. The results are valid for bound states of angular momentum j ⩾ Z|eg| + 12, where the radial wave functions are determined by four coupled differential equations. These equations have been solved analytically for MEM, which is a limit of considerable practical interest. Binding energies and wave functions are given.
