Abstract

Estimates are made of the changes in theoretical predictions of πd differential cross sections when Glauber multiple-scattering theory is extended to include the Fermi motion of the nucleons. The sensitivity of these calculations to the ambiguity in defining c.m. energy for off-energy-shell scattering is also investigated.
