Abstract

The value of sin2Θw can be measured to ±0.002 – 0.004 using the semileptonic decays of KL to provide a beam of νμ and νμ and measuring the ratio R′ = σ(νμ, NC)/σ(νμ, NC). Systematic errors which have limited previous determinations of sin2Θw to ±0.008 are largely eliminated. This experiment will determine the radiative corrections Δr in νμN scattering to ±0.007 and in combination with W, Z mass measurements will provide precise tests of the Standard Model at the tree and one-loop level.
