Large-amplitude motion in superfluid fermi droplets

Abstract

Large-amplitude motion in the nuclear shape degrees of freedom are described by superfluidity within a finite-basis model space. The technique allows an inertial parameter to be constructed for arbitrary shape changes. Application is made to alpha- and heavy-particle radioactivity.
