Abstract

Hepatotoxic studies of xylidines differ with regard to the animal species and type of isomer. The aim of the present paper is to correlate electronic structure data and physical-chemical properties, studied by the authors during a few previous papers (Sahini & Weinberg, 1973; Sahini, Weinberg & Vasilescu 1976, Weinberg & Sahini, to be published; Weinberg & Sahini, 1980), with the hepatotoxic activity of xylidines. Two possible biochemical mechanisms are advanced by help of correlation equations.
