Abstract

Evaluated spectroscopic data from radioactive decay and reaction studies are given for all nuclei with mass number A = 175. Adopted nuclear structure and radiation information is presented in tabular and decay scheme form. This evaluation for A = 175 supersedes the earlier one by M. M. Minor (76MI07), published in Nuclear Data Sheets18, 331 (1976).

Considering the Coulomb barrier height between the outgoing proton and the target Yb (∼9 MeV), the peak around 10 MeV is expected to be formed by the 174Yb(d,p)175Yb reaction. If we replace the TENDL-2013 (d,p) cross-section with the TENDL-2011 library [60] renormalized by Ignatyuk in the FENDL-3.0 library [61], the model prediction shows an almost perfect agreement with our experimental cross-sections. Physical thick target yields were deduced for all of the investigated radionuclides using the measured cross-sections and the electronic stopping power of natural ytterbium over an energy range from a respective threshold to the initial deuteron energy.
